A dryer can tumble without heat, heat without moving enough air, or stop because an electrical fault is grounding to the cabinet. These cases keep those paths separate.
Record whether the drum turns, whether heat begins, how long the cycle runs, whether the breaker or internal protection opens, and whether behavior changes with the vent condition. Keep gas and electric heat systems separate.
The same symptom can have a different cause. Do not treat a confirmed component in one model as a universal repair prescription.
Stop using the dryer after a breaker trip, smoke, arcing, a burning smell, visible heat damage or an abnormal gas odor. Record the exact event and whether it began after a recent repair; do not repeatedly reset and restart the machine.
